10th class new Grading System GPA(Grade Point Average) in Andhra Pradesh

Grading System is introduced first time from this year in A.P. SSC exam results. GPA is abbreviated as Grade Point Average.

GPA is calculated based on the performance of the candidate in the individual subject. According to this system there are total 9 grades (A1 to E), A1 is the Highest grade and E is the lowest grade. The person who gets grade A1 in one subject will get 10 grade points. And how these grades are allocated and how to calculate GPA will be shown below.

Except Hindi subject all the remaining subjects(Telugu,English, Maths, Science, Social) will have the same grading system, that is if a student gets 92 to 100 in these five subjects will get 10 grade points with grade A1, but in Hindi he will get 10 grading points if he get 90 to 100 marks.

Finally GPA will be the average of all the grade points securing in all subjects..

For example if a student get A1 in all subjects i.e. 92 marks five subject and in hindi 90 marks, total marks will be  550
So his GPA will be (10+10+10+10+10+10)/6 = 10

And th disadvantage using this system is if a student gets 95 in 5 subjects and 85 in one subjects, total marks will be 560
But GPA = (10+10+10+10+10+9)/6 = 9.83

So the student who will get more marks may have the less GPA.
