Now, Social networking has been completely shadowed by Facebook which has an estimated 750 million users.At present there is no social networking site that could challenge the dominance of facebook.Finally Google has unveiled that it is working on its own Social networking Website called Google+.
It will be very difficult for any new social networking site to attract user’s.But it seems google has a large fanbase and it is quite possible that it will
generate the curiosity among people to try something new.Currently, google+ project is not open for everyone.Google+ include features like
- Circles+,
- Photos & Group Video Chat,
- Content Discovery Through Sparks,
- Also be launching mobile apps for Google+ (starting with android)
In Circles+ feature each circle represents a relation (friends,family,co-workers etc).The HTML5 system allows users to drag-and-drop their friends into different social circles for friends, family, classmates, co-workers and other custom groups. Users can drag groups of friends in and out of these circles.
The feature, Google+ Sparks, is a collection of articles, videos, photos and other content grouped by interest. For example, the “Movies” spark will have a listing of recent and relevant content for that topic.
Google can challenge Facebook or not can only be seen once it opens for all users but we are certain that this is the biggest rival that facebook is going to face.
